What are you YouTubeing right now?

After hearing this version on a mix earlier

It would be rude not to post this classic performance

From the sublime…

To the ridiculous…

Had never seen this later period Jam live TV performance until tonight. Featuring tracks from their last album, The Gift, this was Weller bringing in the soul via horns, keyboards and backing vocalists as well as covers of Fever and Move On Up. It’s fantastic in both sound and visual definition. A treat to see this era of the band represented in high quality.

Yeah wicked. I’m trying to remember if this is included on the Complete Jam DVD, it seems familiar (must dig that out)

Interesting that Foxton’s Fender bass almost sounds more like his Rickenbacker than his Rickenbacker!

I’ve been caning this for a while, absolutely at their height IMO. Private Hell is furious (maybe I’ve posted it here before now?). The “college/acknowledge” couplet always got me. A bit naff but also very clever! What a band

Yeah. Really enjoyed that (even though I only ever went clubbing in Leeds once).

The guy’s channel features some more ‘Lost Clubs of…’ episodes, including Chicago with Terry Hunter and NY with Frankie Bones.

In Celebration of Everything and Nothing finally getting a vinyl release, it’s all gone a bit David Sylvian round here.

This has the funk throughout and as it says in the comments, the Fripp solo at 9 minutes is incredible. Although to be fair the whole band is pretty damn tight.

That documentary on Fripp is amazing. He’s pretty nuts in a good way. Well saying that I imagine being in a band with him is quite an intense experience.

Him and Toyah seem to be living their best life judging by their YT channel.

I’ve watched quite a few of these over the years. They obviously love each other very much and have a lot of fun. So much energy.
My favourite Frippertronics fact is that rather than use an e-bow for the guitar part on Heroes he moved around in front of the amp to find the right feedback frequency and marked each spot on the floor with a waffer of gaffer.

I had The First Day and the Darshan remixes on just a few hours ago!
