I always felt an affinity with this scene, politically and the outlook in many ways. Sonically though, it was never for me.

Such a shame she’s unable to sing any more.

I only recently learned about her condition. Very sad thing to happen to a singer.

I’ve been really enjoying this on that tip

I saw an interesting vid the other night. A youtuber who i really like was doing a debunking vid on another youtuber’s vid. I got halfway through and realised it was debunking another guy that i really like. It was weird but it seems to my mind that it was a fake video. The guy had done an experiment and faked the results. They are both successful youtubers and make very good content imho. The content in question was carpentry/workshop safety and addressed an age old (important) issue
but the guy obviously faked results for clicks/likes/subscribers.

Whilst not particularly important or corrupting in this case it reminded me of another case where a trusted medical practitioner and early pandemic ‘voice of reason’ has now morphed into pretty much a conspiracy theorist spouting half truths and fudged evidence for clicks/likes/subscribers and of course lots and lots of money.
I’ll happily link to the vids in question if anyone is at all interested but I suppose i was just airing a general point. Which escapes me now…sorry :joy:

posted recently on a FB group many here probably follow…

Beverley is a short film written and directed by Alexander Thomas and produced by Cass Pennant and starring Vicky McClure (Line of Duty, This Is England) and Laya Lewis (Skins). It follows the identity struggles of a mixed-race teenager who moves to white suburbia. Her fight to fit in with the local gang leads to devastating consequences.
