Relatable. I got the Brave browser and watch through that and it does the trick. That and I have an app called Musi that allows you to stream YouTube in the background. Ad-heavy as well but no sounds so if you have a decent playlist it shouldn’t matter. It also uses the YouTube algorithm which is the best imo.
But yeah, no idea why google needs that much more money with the onslaught of these ads. Makes the experience unbearable.
Thanks Dude. I’ll try those and I know that YouTube only exists cos of ads and I would put up with them but man, its decided that the best way to get me to use ‘Confused.com’ is with two pre-rolls and a random repeat every 45 to 115 seconds.

If you’ve got an android TV device, Tizentube Cobalt is excellent.
The interface is YouTube itself without ads. Sponsor block too. You can also use your YouTube account.

I just tried it with the video above and there does not seem to be an option for casting from your browser. Someone smarter than me can probably find a neat workaround. Or yeah, the other apps mentioned.
