Yeah, they get knocked a lot, and I certainly lost interest later on, but back then they just seemed to appear fully formed, pretty young and just tore it up. I saw them a few times at the Phoenix club and also in the backstage area of some festival where they jammed with a few other āacid jazzā heads, it was pretty amazing.
Yeah. I mean heās very annoying but when the first two twelves came out they sounded amazing in the club. Back then it seemed a really thing that he was plagiarising that Gil Scott-Heron sound but these days you wouldnāt think twice about someone referencing something oldā¦
