The hardest working man in radio: Tom Joyner. For eight years, between 1985 and 1993, he flew daily between Dallas and Chicago to work two different shows on two different radio stations.
Looks the Youtube links have been fixed.
Yay!
I have so many Floaty bangers to post now…

I think this Documentary will be pulled from YouTube soon, so watch it, and enjoy it while you can. Watch Simple Minds perform at the Isle of Wight festival June 2024 here: • Simple Minds Isle of Wight Festival J… “An engaging look back at an inspiring backstory through the eyes of the band’s founding friends. As Jim Kerr and Charlie Burchill prepared to tour their latest version of Simple Minds – described by Kerr in the film as being as much of a “theatrical ensemble” as a traditional band – Joss Crowley’s film goes back to the start, when the pair met in a building site at their new flats in Toryglen in Glasgow – a city “in a rush to modernise” as Kerr recalls.” - Peter Watts (UNCUT)
There are two parts to this but posting part 2 as QT gradually getting more and more hammered is hilarious. The last 5 minutes as he’s having Hawk Tuah explained to him are gold.
Really enjoyed this, thanks for posting!
Enjoyed this and spot on in many respects. Listening bars have become pretty ubiquitous and from my experience many of them are just bars with expensive hifi, miles away in ethos from the Japanese listening bars.
Glad you liked this. Did you research the original film and where it could be viewed? I couldn’t see plans for screenings on the website, perhaps something TP could get involved with…
I didn’t but going to have a look and see what I can find!
