I’ll have a bit of Beastie Boys tonight. Don’t know how I didn’t see that, thanks
I don’t think they’re the only ones. Every time I start up the Fire Stick I’m like ‘WTF is going on here?’
Not a fan of the Amazon Prime layout either, but at least you can easily see what’s free to view.
Ozark 4 on Friday
Yes, that’ll be my weekend sorted TV wise
Watched Greed last night, a Michael Winterbottom satire starring Steve Coogan as a truly horrible ,ultra capitalist b*stard (Phillip Green basically) trying to salvage his public image by throwing himself a ridiculously extravagant birthday party.
Thought it was really good (i’m a Winterbottom fan), one minute laughing, the next angry at the reality of what people like Green get away with.
Coogan obviously revelling in his inner monster (some great insults) & a shocking ending that i didn’t see coming.
My wife worked for Green so I will tell her to watch this. If I had worked for him from what she has told me I would have ended up in prison for booting him out of a high up window. She quite often tells me I wouldn’t have got on very well in her working environment ha.
Just watched The Green Knight, amazing at times, utterly confusing at others and The Lost Daughter yesterday which was very good.
You’ll enjoy the ending then, just imagine it’s Green lol
Mine too, nobody had a good word to say about him, odious cnut.
Got to say I found the ending pretty ridiculous with terrible CGI…
Liquorice Pizza at the cinema last night.
Wow loved this. Really nice looking and sounding, and funny. A series of situations the main 2 characters find themselves in that just flows and you can’t take your eyes off it. I loved that there are some serious Hollywood A-listers in it but they’re either side parts that pop up briefly or cameos, the real stars are the main 2 young characters. Brilliant stuff from Paul Thomas Anderson.
I really enjoyed this too. Recognise the brilliance of PTA but find some of his films are pretty full on. Totally agree on the flow of this film and reminded me of Boogie Nights in that respect. Beautifully shot with a killer soundtrack and score as per usual. The Wings track was just perfect.
To be honest worth the admission for Bradley Cooper’s cameo alone.
Yep CGI was poor, didn’t see the ending coming tbh, expected it to end with a ‘the world is unfair & bastards prosper’ note, instead it was a kind of ‘Once Upon A Time In Hollywood’ wish fullfillment ending
Off t’picture house Saturday to watch this…looking forward to it!
Liking this so far…

The Lost Daughter (Netflix)
Loved this. Best thing I’ve watched in a while, with great performances from Olivia Colman, Jessie Buckley & Ed Harris. You just know it’s going to be good with Colman staring.
Nice soundtrack too
