What are you watching?

What’s this about? Intrigued : )

Its a documentary about a plot by a motley crew of characters from Miami to sell a Russian submarine to the Cali Cartel in Columbia. Utterly bonkers, its a great story!

Have to agree with Call My Agent…clever little series with a lot of laughs.

The Bureau while we’re on the French…tres bien!

Just watched Sylvies Love on Amazon; nice film to curl up on the sofa with your Mr/Mrs…gently paced love story with a cool jazz soundtrack.

Enjoyed smashing through 55 episodes of Billions only for it to come to a shuddering halt due to covid! Bit annoying…

Not new but Gomorrah…my god, it’s relentlessly violent and depressing. The characters never crack jokes or smile or have a laugh but you just have to keep watching to see where the next betrayal comes from!

And I’m amazed at the amount of people who I speak to who have never watched Treme! David Simons capture of New Orleans life after the hurricane. Absolute dynamite with the best live music you’ll ever see/hear on a telly box programme.

Watched Queen and Slim (Amazon),
Great modern day outlaw movie, provocative, dreamy and intense.
It’s ace.

The Midnight Gospel - Netflix

Late night animated fare, quite bonkers but thoughtful also, last episode is a killer when you know the backstory, won’t say too much more. Really imaginative concept from stand up Duncan Trussell and Pendleton Ward. ST’s been on Rogan but don’t let that put you off. Televisual DMT…

This has been the best thing I have watched in many a year, absolutely heartbreaking and life affirming, I was crying like a baby at the end. The idea of the subconscious shame felt by the main character really resonated with me and was something I had not really considered, definitely a lightbulb moment.

Anyone know if you can watch this in the UK?

I borrowed mine from EZTV, but think it’s on one of the streaming platforms.

Not on Netflix, Amazon or Sky as far as I can see…

It’s an HBO show - should be available

Don’t think we can get HBO here yet, wish we could so many great shows on there…

Trailer for the new Adam Curtis doc due on iPlayer next week…not unusually for him, looks quite mind bending!

@BlueNiall good shout! That looks ace…

RuPaul’s Drag Race, UK and US series are both being released an episode a week just now. It is a LOT having 2hrs+ to watch of every week, but it’s one of those shows where if you don’t keep up it’s going to be inevitably spoilered for you and ruin any fun you might have watching it.

I really enjoyed this a while ago. If you like David Lynch’s films this ones for you.

You should watch Turkish version. IMDB point is between 8-9 depends on episodes.
