Each and every one of these melts has been humiliated by a Woman at one point and simultaneously not had a significant Male presence during early development. They couldn’t handle Louis at all as he stood there completely comfortable with his own masculinity.

Watched Obsession, mostly because I wanted to know what the highest grossing movie ever for a sub million pound budget looks like. Didn’t expect to like it, those Blumhouse Indie horrors are not really my wheelhouse but I have to say I quite enjoyed it. Pretty well done, good narrative structure and the pacing is great so the tension ratches up nicely, and the acting from newcomer Inde Navratte was excellent. The ending was interesting too.
I bet traditional Hollywood is now scrambling over how to recreate its success. It seems to have had the perfect storm of word of mouth from an inbuilt Gen Z audience, led by a YouTube star director and its young cast willing to naturally market it across social media. It’ll be interesting to see how Hollywood responds

Watched Tenet last night in anticipation of going to see The Odyssey tomorrow. Remember coming out of the cinema on original viewing feeling completely bamboozled, but on a second go around I found it less impenetrable and easier-ish to follow. Definitely not peak Nolan though, but a pretty wild high concept espionage thriller. I just kept thinking how amazing a Nolan take on James Bond could be

I rewatched it recently and remember feeling exactly the same. You miss a great deal of subtle intricacies on the first viewing.
Am loving it as well. Started episode 4 last night. Have only seen Mathew Rhys in serious dramas prior to this. He is comedy gold in some scenes.

I’ve got to be honest I feel like Nolan peaked with the Batman trilogy!
Found everything I’ve seen since very underwhelming.
Oppenheimer especially. I respect the no cgi approach but the A bomb explosion in that movie frankly looked like an indoor firework.

Started watching the Gomorrah prequel last night. Story line seems OK and I’ll give it a chance but Pietro’s gang look like they are in a Strokes tribute band.

“I, jack Wright” on BBC iPlayer. Great murder mystery type 6 parter. Good casting and storylines. Recommend!
John simm particularly good, which has made me think of re watching human traffic, though not sure I can handle the nostalgia!
