What are you watching?

Totally agree, a huge drop in quality, really disappointing.

Seems pretty sub par to be honest

By the laws of Lucy Mangan this should shit all over The Wire.

After saying a few weeks ago that I no longer watch grim stuff on TV, I ended up watching the most recent double episode of 24 Hours in Police Custody today. The Nicholas Prosper case. The absolute depths of depravity. Horrific.

Also finished Wayward recently. It got a little bit ‘teenage’ on a few occasions and Toni Colette definitely carried large parts of it, but ultimately I enjoyed it.

Started Down Cemetery Road on Sunday. It feels a wee bit like what Americans must think it’s like to live in the UK, but I’m still kinda hooked.

New place to spend my hard earned when I head to Japan.

I’m a few ep’s into UK crime drama “Code Of Silence” about a deaf girl who is asked by the cops to help with some lip reading on a video of a gang meetup in a park, which in turn, drags her further into the case and puts her into some dangerous situations. It’s UK crime by numbers - I doubt I’ll watch any further. I read a few places that it was a great show but maybe people are so enamored with this sort of slop it garners unwarranted favor with zero effort.

Lovely little doc on Netflix about the crucial role Ed Sullivan and his TV show played in helping break down racial segregation in America by regularly featuring African American artists and performers despite strong opposition from the usual suspects.
Ed comes across as a good, brave and principled man, could do with more like him now with what’s currently going on in America and elsewhere.
Bit uneven in parts but some great footage of some of the greatest performers in American music history.

After a week of crappy work politics dominated by grubby opportunists, we watched this last night. It delivered exactly as described. Thank you for the recommendation! This site once again proves that there are like-minded souls out there who seek the nice things in life. And want to share them. Just because it’s nice.

It’s great, isn’t it? Glad you liked.

I love the sharing culture here too. I gain far more than I give but contribute when I can and thought this show would find an audience here. The only show I’ve binged from start to end all year

Totally! We watched loads of them last night.

Yes- I often feel guilty about not posting enough tunes on here. But it’s all good.

Also watched all of it after your recommend. Could have done with another three episodes quite happily. A lovely tale.

Pluribus - fucking loved the first 2 eps. I have total trust in Vince Gilligan to take this show into some far out places.
