What are you watching?

He’s brilliant isn’t he, just makes me smile and laugh.

Forced myself to sit through one of the worst films I’ve seen in a long time.

The Monkey.

How does shit like this even get made?

Allan is a fidgety sweaty mess! So funny. Listening to Joe Wilkinson’s podcast is an interesting insight to being on the show. He reckons it’s like watching it as an outsider even though he was in it because so much happens that you don’t see or hear. He had Mark Bonner the other day on and they discussed epsiode 2 together.

Also watching traitors. Alan stealing the show imo.

Finished s2 of the newsreader. Probably some of the best drama tv in the last few years. Finding it hard to fault.

Will start s3 this week and new season of blue lights on iplayer.

I’m having to watch ‘Traitors’ on the iPad with headphones on as there’s a ‘suspense’ sound effect within the music track that completely freaks out our Cocker Spaniel. He practiacally legs it out of the room every time it happens.

Agreed - the music was jarring. It was intentional but kinda made me think of this one.

Overall very meh film (“Queer”) for us, though the interiors were beautiful.

Persevered until the bitter end with the Ed Gein thing on Netflix, absolutely barking mad, I wonder if the makers of it are trolling?
How else do you explain the scene of good ol’ Ed ascending to Heaven whilst being congratulated by various serial killers he inspired to the soundtrack of Owner Of A Lonely Heart?
Had to quickly palette cleanse afterwards so binged the new Splinter Cell animation series, 8 episodes, only about 20 mins long each but action packed, enjoyed it and hope they do another series.
Started Boots after that which is the true story of a gay teen lacking direction who ends up joining the marines with his best friend, funny and moving in places, halfway through it, decent soundtrack as well.

I’m avoiding that run/ series of shows tbh- the Menendez brothers one is apparently full of inaccuracies and I found the Dahmer one creepily sensationalistic and had to turn off half way through

Agree !

I gave up on Eddie G - show was ridiculous and I felt it draining my will to live by my watching it. Not because of the subject matter, but because of how boringly trite it was!

It managed to be dull and insane at the same time.

It’s definitely tongue in cheek. Ian Brennan has a background in horror comedy.

Yup loved all three seasons of The Newsreader. Excellent ensemble cast who are well served by some great writing. You will enjoy S3.
Shame it went a little bit under the radar.

Enjoying a bit of Last Frontier on n Apple. Not Dominic Cooper is the right casting but Jason Clarke is good. Love a snowy wilderness for a setting too.

This is really good…

That Splinter Cell series was suprisingly great. Some of the recent animated video game adaptations have been terrible. (Looking at you Tomb Raider). Surprised how violent they made it. Apparently the show runner created John Wick, which explains the brutally choreographed fight sequences. Hope they do a second series

Finished Boots, bit Hollywoody at times but enjoyed it overall, decent music and I thought the lead actor was great, so much emotion expressed in his eyes and body language, really subtle and very unAmerican acting but really appropriate given the role he was playing.

About to start The Monster Of Florence, a really fascinating real life serial killer case, have high hopes, the trailer looks Zodiacesque.
