The Synanon Fix on HBO. Great doc about an LA self help group that starts out with the best intentions… As ever the good fun bit sounds great and then the egos get involved but pretty fascinating attempt to do things differently at the start…

Love curb, was just revisiting one of my favourite scenes which I always think of whenever my wife tells me she is taking my daughter away for the weekend.

Last saturday morning I was marvelling at the fact that within a couple of minutes of remembering a particular sketch (in this case Mocha Joe’s new coffee shop) I was able to access approximately 120 episodes of Curb and find what i was looking for. The fact that I got a bit of Leon’s wisdom “You never see anyone wearing a Maga hat backwards…”) and watch Larry nonchalantly snap a selfie stick, kick over a line of scooters and offer his advice on why not to joggle a fetus was more than just a bonus.
Of course my daughter watched on with a bit of bemusement (she drinks Mochas, hence the showing) but I dare say she’ll pick it up at some point in her life.
Surely the greatest show ever?

I love Curb though I thought the last two series weren’t really up to the high standards of the rest. The first few series are pure genius.
Just finished Blue Lights - rattled through both seasons in no time. Brilliant telly, we were completely hooked.

The Palestinian Chicken episode is legendary…Larry’s postcoital recitation of “The Scarlet Pimpernel” as he descends the stairs…I lose it every time, it’s just so ridiculous.
