Another great episode from @Phil
Another great episode from @Phil
The follow up to this one is now live also, with proper old footage of some of the parties… WATCH HERE
Great that, Phil, that rave cave looked like a whole lot of fun.
Finished last of us s2. It didnt hit the highs of the first season and I felt a bit dissapointed as I had high hopes. Still enjoyed it.
Andor s2, upto ep8 so far. This is probably the best tv I’ve watched this year.
Heretic - average film imo. Nice to hear the hollies tho.
I watched the Cate Blanchett/Michael Fassbender spy film Black Bag over the weekend and enjoyed it. It’s a bit too clever and pleased with itself but still a decent watch. 6.5 spy satellites out of 10.
Episode 2 (Last of Us) was a banger though!
The Handmaid’s Tale (or ‘the news’ as its commonly called) last season is hotting up now.
Yep agree on ep2. That was the highlight of the season.
Thought handmaids tale had run its course, but agree that this last season has been pretty decent
Enjoyed it too. Did you notice David Holmes cameo at the start as the DJ in the club? He did the soundtrack.
Ha, was it him? Thought I recognised the hat!
Heretic really felt like two films, a great psychological thriller that descended (literally) into really complicated horror schlock
Looks decent
I’m watching The Rehearsal on Nowtv.
Thanks to @Mikeflatcap i think for the recommendation.
I find it absolutely extraordinary. It seems to be totally absurd and absolutely vital at the same time. Unlike anything I’ve seen before and I don’t know the chap who does it but I gather he’s been around a bit.
If you fancy something a bit different I’d give it a go.
Totally agree, I thought the first half was great and the second half ridiculous
It’s a mixture of outrageously clever and obscenely stupid all at the same time.
100% entertainment
We started Pokerface from the beginning, I love it (you could pretty much watch Natasha Lyonne reading a book)
The TITLES are great
I’ve rewatched all 4 seasons of Nathan For You off the back of The Rehearsal . This is a good jumping off spot.
Im watching this Rom Com trailer which uses Music as a narrative device and is set in Sheffield in 1989 but features music from a decade earlier. Might complain to Ofcom
In my teens I really loved watching stuff like Henry Portrait Of A Serial Killer and Martin Scorcese’s The Big Shave. But i’ve long since been unable to stomach anything like that. This deep into middle age I only want to watch lovely stuff like this. Went to see it at the cinema but i’m sure it’ll be on a streaming service soon. Its funny, sad, poignant, didn’t really want it to end.
Agreed - the last third is just total nonsense
Should I admit that I watch Henry every couple of years? It’s always the same and it’s always different.
