Late to the party but absolutely loving The White Lotus

Yeah thought it pulled it back a bit. Lots of discontent on the 1nterW3bz about this season going off the boil. I disagree, it’s just opened up to a wider plot line and not answered too many questions IMO. It’s been a little slower but still probably the best thing on TV.

I’m loving it. The slow build and the ratcheting up of the tension is great. The hedonism of the full moon party juxtaposed with the sinister music worked really well, I thought.

The latest episdoe of White Lotus was… uncomfortable! Funny, but hard to bear.

As for Severance, I really enjoyed the first season, but felt like S2 was a total waste of my time. Glad others enjoyed it though.

Agreed. Stephen Graham played Stephen Graham well, the kid excellent, but i too felt it glossed over the whole young male misogyny thing. As you say, probably hndered by the one shot technique.

I watched a video from the DTES area of Vancouver that has been open drug area for decades and it’s crazy seeing people going about normal day stuff like shopping, going to school or outside side bars smoking and all around them are people in serious addiction…

Finished this off last night. 8 Episodes in total.

Crime drama set in Liverpool. Really good cast of local actors including James Nelson-Joyce, Bobby Schofield and the brilliant Stephen Walters. Felt like i was constantly comparing it to Kin, which meant it had a lot to live upto, but by the end i’d say it’s almost as good as Kin (although not quite as violent)

Defo worth a watch, and looks like it’s set up for a second series.

Anyone else watched it yet ?

I took your recommendation blind and started watching this the other day. Great shout. There may be a few holes in the plot but the acting of Wagner Moura, and Brian Tyree Henry in particular, just transcend it. very funny in parts too, Can’t wait for pt 5 now.
