The substance. Not sure what to make of it. Again, I thought it was 30 min too long. I loved the first 90 min, demi moore was class, and the score was brilliant. I didnt enjoy the last 30 min.
Were you not entertained though?!
I really didn’t like it. It felt like a poor man’s Cronenberg. Demi Moore was good but … meh.
“Linda, if anyone mentions the word traitor don’t turn your head in response as it’ll give the game away”
Linda: Uh?
Peep Show is superb. Rewatched them all with my teenage kids recently which was very funny.
Watched this over Christmas and enjoyed it too. Agreed that Hugh Grant was great. I thought
after a really interesting first half it all got a bit silly in the second half though.
We all got some bug and ended up bingeing Slow Horses for a few days. Slow to the uptake on this but great show, Gary Oldman is superb. Series 3 got a bit too ridiculous with the endless shoot em up scenes but just started series 4 which looks set to be a good one.
Super / Man. The Christopher Reeve story
Incredible documentary about Reeve’s life altering accident and the challenges he overcame after it. Wild that he appeared at the Oscars just a year after the accident. Beware: its a tear jerker
This looks really good Joe. But you had me in tears twice in the past few weeks, and I’m doing dry January, so I’ll need to swerve this for the moment. The two in question were the Mark Barrot interview, then a week later the Mark Barrot vidéo. I was properly touched.
Have just rewatched Midnight Mass on Netflix. If you haven’t seen it then you might enjoy the way that it dissects Catholicism in a similar way - also gets a bit silly in placed, but worth a watch.
Wings of desire is amazing. The sequel is even better
Silo s2 - I didnt mind the 1st season but struggling with the 2nd, finding it pretty slow and boring. I wont be carrying on.
Mr and Mrs Smith - decent fun.
Hope you’re all well and good @Apiento this looks pretty scary indeed!
Not managed to watch it yet, watched Breathless and enjoyed it and planned to watch WOD the next day but got hit with the lurgy overnight and have felt like death warmed up since
Peter Faulk playing himself as an angel is brilliant
Not sure how I’ve missed Doechii, this is one incredible performance, what a band!
One of my mates is in Venice, he’s sent some pretty scary looking photo’s but thinks its all far enough away so far. Reckons its the worst fires since he moved there 20+ years ago.
Fucking hell, horrendous
Fckn hell…
Heartbreaking
