One of my mates is in Venice, he’s sent some pretty scary looking photo’s but thinks its all far enough away so far. Reckons its the worst fires since he moved there 20+ years ago.

Low End Theory’s Daddy Kev has been posting stories of the destruction in the Altadena area and reckons the fire trucks aren’t responding to residential fires. Why this is, I’m not sure - too big a job perhaps? It’s devestating.

It’s quite crazy here. I was driving up in Altadena last night and it was just crazy. It swept so much of the area. You just can’t believe it’s real.

I listened to Adamski interviewed in that cab on a podcast… couldn’t help but think when watching avicci doc that their ascent to fame at an early age was similar… literally from bedroom to MainStage in a matter of weeks/months
Difference to some extent was how much slicker the management was at rinsing every last dollar now though… (i.e with Avicci rather than Adamski) which as you say is likely the cause of his death to some extent. But fame on that level at that early age is pretty terrifying from the outside at least
He takes a break… finally returns to studio feels the old magic returning …and just associates it with utter insanity.

It’s crazy that this is happening in January. Maybe it’s windier in SoCal in winter, making fire risk worse. But in NorCal the fires would be mainly in summer/autumn. Stay safe and hopefully the smoke is clearing fast.
