Have just finished watching The Deuce, one of the best things I’ve ever watched, the ending made me feel surprisingly sad, end of an era type of thing. Big thanks to whoever recommended!

As an actor, don’t really know anything about her as a person, she’s decent in this so far but not really buying her as a bad ass killer.

It’s a remake of The Bureau, a French series.
The original is one of the best series ever, imho. Well worth checking. It’s superb.
Going to dive into The Agency when I’ve got a few episodes to binge.

Black Doves- Netflix
First episode was promising, second seems to have descended into Guy Ritchie-esque dialogue and cliched mythologised Laandaan gangster tropes.

Thought the same, watched the first two last night and it started great but seems to be going rapidly downhill.
I will end up watching the rest though, because unless something is truly awful I always have to see what happens in the end…
On a more positive note, thank you to everyone that tipped The Penguin, it’s brilliant.

Absolutely gorgeous (but I really don’t know if I’m going to be able to last 13 episodes, especially if they’re all an hour long)

Got 3/4 the way through the book this year. Super dense inter-generational epic but don’t think I’ll bother with the Netflix adaptation.

Watched 1.5 episodes of Black Doves and I’m out. Kiera Knightly is a vacuous hole of a being and she can’t act for shit. The other guy with the face topiary is generic as fuck and I just couldn’t suspend my disbelief with either of the posh twats.
