Visually always interesting - they’ve done a lot with a photographer called Clayton Cubitt

They actually address these allegations in the film.

i couldn’t be any further from their target audience, but yep - there’s something going on there that’s tough to ignore. i get the appeal and the i think i get the lane they run in, i can’t help but feel like it’s like a sexy ICP.

Watched Coppola’s Dracula last night first time seeing it- I love the old Hammer films so had avoided it. Was surprised how much I enjoyed it. (Keanu Reeves aside- more life in a plank of wood…)

Sadie Frost when I watched it in 1992 was my secret crush :heart_eyes:I also watched it last night and I met Sadie a few times over the years and not so long ago, I was able to msg her last night while watching it and she replied this morning…lol

Yeah she was great and Winona too,
Whole film as camp as Christmas and all the better for it too.

Keanu should have been cast as the wooden stake, save him overstretching himself

lol i’ll not hear an bad word spoken about keanu - from all the folks i’ve know that have met him, all are super consistent in assessing him as a kind and loving guy, if not a bit quiet. he may appear a bit basic in his early big movie appearances, but he nailed it in the small ones - river’s edge, permanent record and even his turn in parenthood.

i’m glad he got to go big in things like speed, matrix and john wick - they aren’t my type of movies at all but those prop up the ability to live they way you choose, and to work on super meta stuff like “always be my maybe”

He should have been cast as the wooden stake.:rofl:

I’m sure you’re right-I just don’t rate him as an actor.
Point Break being probably the worst example…

I think ‘Knock Knock’ is one of my favourites from his more recent movie appearances!

Tudor is a posh twat. Went to a very privileged all boys high school. Him chasing Andrew Butler around a festival shouting homophobic slurs was the absolute last moment I gave a shit about him and his schtick.

Not that I’m defending them, but according to them in the doc, that footage was edited to make it appear that way (not that I’ve seen it). Their own DJ is gay, so it doesn’t really stack up that they are homohobic?

Justin only came out after the band was formed as he was also in their previous band, Max.Normal TV. When they did their first show at Coachella he was still in the closet, so the having a gay DJ was not a choice especially as Justin made all of the music even though Tudor will tell everyone he did. They also call him a ‘moffie’ which is not exactly a term of endearment.

Here’s the video, so I will let you make up your own mind.

Keanu was perfect for The Matrix - the ideal role for his talents and abilities. And he comes off as a mensch in real life.

That said, my sneaking guilty pleasure is The Devil’s Advocate which has some of the worst of Keanu with along with one of the great overwrought Pacino monologues of all time (“I’m a little more than that, Kevin!”)

Yeah they’re well dodgy

I had not heard of this before this week, but I have been amused by The Kominsky Method. If you are ageing so and so, there is something for you here. Never really liked Michael Douglas until I saw this . Alan Arkin is class. Chuck Lorre knows his business. There are some great cameos too.
