What are you watching?

I also started it and got as far as two episodes. Really disturbing. That second episode with the chimp Travis really freaked me out. Maybe its the people thats most disturbing. This weird need for having such a large animal that needs better living conditions then a cage in a living room. Yeah, disturbing stuff.

I think what is so horrifying is that I see chimps, especially in this show, as humans; they are directly related to us and everything about their behavior and expressions makes me imagine if these chimps were humans who are in deranged, cruel cages for other people’s entertainment. I’m no PETA activist, I’m not even vegetarian. This show, with all of its pathos, makes me reconsider my relationship to animals in a way that Tiger King did not.

If you like spy thriller kind of things, I highly recommend “The Old Man”. Season 2 just began, both Jeff Bridges and John Lithgow are awesome in it, as is Alia Shawkat.

This will tick a lot of boxes on here, it’s about skating and the evolution of board graphics, bit of a proustian rush when some of the board designs pop up. Amazon prime

Well worth a watch.

Got me all excited, went looking for it this evening but not released in Uk until November 6th.

I’m nearly 2.5 years late to the party here, but started Series 1 of Slow Horses a couple of weeks ago after reading your review on here @Joe :+1: We’ve now polished off the first two series already. Unbelievably good. Gary Oldman is just brilliant in it.

The Penguin has started well. You don’t have to be a fan of batman/billionaire vigilantes/police brutality, as it seems like it stands alone apart from that and is more of a mafia crime drama.

Yeah been looking forward to this. Thought it was decent. Colin Farell’s make up is quite remarkable, he’s totally buried under there. Hoping it doesnt stray into Mob clichés

Worked on this recently, the 2nd episode of the C4 version airs this week too. Highly recommend it… (although I can’t do YT links either)

Watched the C4 episodes B2B. Can’t comprehend the mindset of those continuing to push the delusion that the election was stolen, despite there being literally zero evidence.

A good watch

Can only assume that their mindset is that it’s perfectly acceptable to lie and cheat to get what you want…

Watched Rebel Ridge on Netflix last night, was initially put off by the generic title, which could easily have been something with Dwayne Johnson or one of the Hemsworth’s, but then realised it was from the same director that did Blue Ruin and Green Room - would highly recommend, best to go in without too much background information, it didn’t disappoint!
