What are you watching?

Watched News of the world with Tom hanks. Nothing amazing but worth a watch.

Tried the new one with Amy Adams, Hitchcock type film. Lasted 20 min and switched it off.

That new Amy Adams film is bit rubbish.

Started to watch The Underground Railroad on Amazon last night, already 4 episodes.
About a girl (Cora) trying to escape black slavery in 1800’s, directed by Barry Jenkins based on the novel. A brutal reminder of the history of slavery. It’s harrowing, haunting, bleak, terrifying, moving and beautiful. kinda reminds of Reverence in how it is filmed.

David Nutt deserves a knighthood for the pragmatic and common-sense approach he has taken towards substance use for decades. I worked along side him for a period in the 90’s, he was a lone voice from within the establishment in respect of the absurdity of policy and lack of evidence-based decision-making. He has not waivered in his commitment.

Yeah he’s a hero and the main reason these trials are now taking place in the UK.

Episode 5 - Fuck me!

No spoilers.

I know! Dont think I have been that engrossed in a Detective TV series since True Detective Series 1.

Yeah that was really good, atmospheric. You could feel it.

Gormorrah is good not in the same league tho.

Boardwalk Empire is ok.

Episode 5!! Just watched it. Great TV.

Anybody into Midnight Diner? Just started watching it this week. Short episodes, food, people, quirky, touching and quite funny.
I’m a bit of a sucker for the Japanese aesthetic. This seems pretty authentic.
It’s on Netflix

This thread’s been a lifesaver during the current lockdown here, never usually watch TV or films but currently am most definitely languishing, need to get my mojo back but after a day of online teaching the only thing I can be bothered with is watching something, loving mare but it’s like the olden days waiting for the next episode and omg can’t get you out of my head documentaries, thank you all

The Mark Walters doc (BBC Scotland) on iPlayer is a good watch. Cracking player, nice bloke and interesting story.

Started watching Line Of Duty which has made it’s way to Netflix Australia - can see why it’s popular - cop soap opera with some nice twists aka The Bill with guns and swears.
You Brits are great at these kind of dramas. No spoilers pls!

One of my heroes as a young chap. Great documentary

Yes he was up there for me too, funny what Souness said re Walters doing all the work, McCoist tapping in and taking all the adoration!
