What are you watching?

Not started this series yet. Is it good? I’m a big Curb fan but didn’t much like the last series.

Definitely going to be watching this on March 1st…

Those were the days when we used to get boxes from submerge arrive. Cue chaos with the customers.

Came here to post the same, tonight’s viewing!

Love Yentob’s Imagine strand and really love Labi Siffre. Am now on my 3rd viewing.

Watched the first one last night. Looking very promising!

Anyone watching shogun? I might watch tonight but I’m worried it’ll be a great white saviour story.

Watched first episode, seems fairly faithful to the book if you’ve read it. Barbarian describes europeans pretty well.

On fence about the lead and subtitles are a bit shit, but enjoying so far, few omg bits.

Im two episodes in and enjoying it so far, visual feast and all that! hiroyuki sanada is a great toranaga

interested to see how it compares to the original tv adaptation with richard chamberlain in the lead, that was one of my primers for my love of all things japan.

Started the New Look series on Apple, about Christian Dior’s wartime experiences in Paris. Good cast but the dialogue is so clunky, like it was written by an intern. Will persevere, if only for the outfits.

Written by AI?

It’s just very ‘quick Pierre, we must go, the nazi’s are coming!’

Watching The OA on Netflix again. Only made 2 seasons of it then it got canned. Still sticks in my mind as a really original story. A great ‘is any of it real/oh my god’ tale told very well (IMO) that’s hard to describe

We really enjoyed that too. Quite powerful.

If you liked OA, it’s worth watching The Sound of my Voice. Same team behind it - Brit Marling and Zal (brother of vampire weekend/discovery musician Rostam) Batmanglij.

Thank you! Will check it out. Felt it was a shame not to commission what was an obvious 5 parts to The OA. Guess the ratings didn’t justify it

We really enjoyed Zal Batmanglij’s Murder At The End Of The World which is a right up to date murder mystery with a techy Gen Z sleuth, but with the classic set up and storytelling of a Christie.
We watched it right after finishing True Detective S04 and thought it beat it hands down.

Watched episode two the other night and just remembered driving down the A30 who the lead reminds me of, told the Mrs, now she’s pissed off.
