Been enjoying that. It has its faults but like the concept and does show some promise. Hope it delivers.
Watched Tenet for the first time this week. Had little idea what was happening most of the time and had to rewind quite a bit. After now watching it three times I absolutely loved it. See something different with every viewing. Definitely designed for repeat watching.

I had low expectations of Andor, but really enjoying it - the quality of actors involved (Fiona Shaw, Stellan Skarsgard) really lifts it above the previous spin-offs.

I’m four shows in on this, it’s great. Kind of reminds me of something like the Prisoner, as in you don’t really know what’s going on sometimes, but it hooks you in all the same.
Watched the first three in a cabin in the middle of nowhere, which definitely added to the spookiness.

Has a very scandi-noir in space feel which is new, and of course tons of top-notch british character actors chewing the scenery and making it feel very kitchen sink. Really enjoying so far.

Watched Barbarian last night, loved it…
This is good. Not just the usual footage we’ve all seen before. First episode deals with the rise of hooliganism in the 80s and the social conditions that helped create it. Loads of interviews from ex casuals
Caught this by accident. Brilliant.
Did we mention this? What Happened Miss Simone? On Netflix. Really gobsmackingly good, troubled but real real talent. Amazing back story of 60’s social upheaval we’ve not moved on from much. Moving stuff.

First episode was OK, didn’t enjoy it as much as season 1, but looking forward to more.

Yeah I was going to give it a wide berth at first… Thought it’d be (more) Nessun Dorma, missed penalties and tears zzzzzz but a few people have recommended it will defo watch, might save it for when this bogus WC is on though! Kevin Allen who did the legendary video diary on it?

The old Man on Disney+. Jeff Bridges is pretty good at fighting for a man of his age. Though he is an executive producer on the program.

The Offer on Paramount/Sky. It’s a drama about the making of The Godfather. Absolutely brilliant, very stylish 1970s Hollywood & NYC vibes and a great cast. Not sure if it’s been mentioned on here before. Anyway I’m loving it. Recommended.

Season 4 of Babylon Berlin. Doesn’t seem to get much attention, perhaps its the foreign language but for me its one the best series around. Very high quality production, holds its own against some of the big HBO dramas. There was a great jazz club sequence this week, genuinely one of the best club scenes I’ve seen on TV.
