That sounds really shitty behaviour. Made even worse by his font choices.

Not the easist to read, is it. I had to screenshot it and magnify, although I put that down to my old age

Ha! Same.

Has anyone listened to the album though? Any good?

I am always working with designers who are like ‘we need to design for accessibility, like older people with poor vision’ I’m like

Always hated Acid Jazz

Never trust anyone whose public pronouncement of a ‘justifiable complaint’ has the hallmarks of being written after getting in from a loooong and lonely session navel gazing at the pub.

yeah, sounds shady…

there were one or two good bits on Talkin Loud (saw a good urban species gig), but that scene often felt a bit ‘affected’ for my tastes. All the cooler students were into it, in uniform Kangols and oversized Gazelles IIRC. Jay Kay the poster boy of course (literally…)

Marxman, Cordrouy, Mother Earth, where are they all now?

were the Sandals part of acid jazz? ‘Feet’ was a tune.

Feet! Forgotten about that. Tune. The sound of being a student in Brighton and staying up for days making progressive house mixtapes on plastic decks.

Cordrouy are still going… and Galliano are coming back!

The Sandals were often produced by Leftfield so we’ll have them. Some of those odd dubs on the 12s are good

Who knows the truth of this ever so familiar tale, but I think once you descend into petty personal sniping then you loose any credibility in my eyes, if you have the high moral ground then stay there.

I’d not be surprised if that results in a letter from EP’s lawyers …

The Hammond Burns mix of We Wanna Live was pretty good in its day.

Was it someone on here who described Martin Freeman as a “faux mod sprinkle”?

Still makes me laugh, great turn of phrase.
