How was WOH this year? Heard great reports although a couple of gripes about larger numbers and poorer sound on some stages than before

My only gripe was that the live music line-up wasn’t as strong this year, at least for me, and I’d like to see a few more risks taken with the bookings (and I don’t mean Stereolab, FFS!).
In the past there has always been at least a couple of must see’s, but not this time.
We did catch a few things (Roge & Arthur Verocai were our highlights), but overall it was a DJ fest for us this year.

I’d been worried that the DJ lineup wasn’t as strong either but overall we had a great time:
Masterclasses: Mr Disco Kid, Sadat Bahar, Bill & Frank, Colin Curtis, Daddy G
Very Very Good: Make-A-Dance, Giles Smith b2b Alexander Nut, Bradley Zero, Ge-ology
Dropping Bombs: Luke Una, Lakuti & Tama Sumo, Frank & Tayo
Disappointing: Prosumer, Glen Underground, King Britt

As far as the sound/production is concerned I didn’t notice anything different (except how Daddy G made the Love Dancin’ system sing - wow) and definitely not worse.
The new stages were great esp the Beat Hotel which was in the area where the bowl is giving you some choice there without a schlep (also improved with a better access route there from the main stage).

Got next years ticket already.

Edit: that should prob read ‘Frank & Bill’ this time coz Frank floored us with a monster Grace Jones Feel Up opener - anyone?

That’s great. I also like the Roisin/Parrot version under the Spook name (phone not letting me YT link)

Ahhhh, its the Random House Project version, thanks @Del
Ruby had been rocking it, then suddenly total chaos like being at the cup final.

Cup final GJ sounds epic! With Saint and Greavsie at the bar for full effect.

That version kind of goes straight for the jugular. Cracker!

It was pretty much like that for the whole 2hrs. People screaming and going absolutely nuts. Bravo.

My partner in crime just reminded me that it was also played on the Sunday night at Tryouts in Bucharest. With the same effect. I was too busy dancing to see if S&G were at the bar - but it was a given.

Been gathering dust on my HD for 2.5yrs. Ggggrrrr. Must try harder.

How was Peven Everett? Sounding healthy? He’d been sick a while back, hope he’s back on his feet.

Peven was looking and sounding really healthy, was so good to see. He played some very live/different versions of some of his classics, it was great.

Could also have been the 2026 Redux
