We out here 24

Hey

Who’s coming?? My first proper summer festival for nearly 10 years - thanks farming and having kids!

Obviously I’m super excited- got a good crew going too.

Be nice to see some forum heads

Sadly can’t make it this year. Have a blast - easily the best-run UK festival

I’m there.
V.v. keen having missed out last year due to covid.
Also interested to hear any recommendations particularly the smaller live acts

Is KDJ actually playing was bit confused…

Edit: yes I think he is as part of the Amp tribute.

Yeh he is meant to be playing with Waajeed and Andres on the Sat night, billed as an Amp Fiddler tribute

I’ll be there too, we’re bringing the little one this year and staying at an airbnb. So bit of a different vibe. I’ll probably just have one late night, thinking the Friday for Ron

I’m really looking forward to seeing Darryn Jones again, he played a couple of years ago & blew me away

Shameless plug.
Friends Sun Palace are playing some music here. I can’t be there personally but they can chat first hand about the Sound System and future plans.

I missed this thread so sorry for the late response. Just lying down in a proper bed after being there since Thursday. What a festival. Loved it. I missed loads and saw loads but highlights were listening to JIM on Friday afternoon in the blazing sunshine, jumping around to Colleen Cosmo Murphy in a tent, and the last night at the Bowl with Giles and Louie Vega; two proper brilliant sets. Saturday was so much fun I can’t remember who/what I saw but overall a festival with a lovely vibe, very chilled with lots of nice people. The whole thing gave me early big chill vibes. Sign me up for next year.

Well that was pretty joyous! So much good music, so many great people. Just wandering round and dipping in and out of all the spaces was fantastic!

Highlights for me included Tara Clerkin Trio, LTJ Bukem, Trojan, Louise plus one, Aba Shanti-i, Tom Boogizm, Luke Una (especially the WOH Radio set), Kiioto, Shortee Blitz & Mr. Thing, Mantra B2B Double O, Storm w/ Chickaboo (proper stormin’!), Mala and of course the Sunday Afternoon at Dingwalls - life affirming!

Brilliant festival, highly recommended.
Lots of long-standing boxes ticked - live faves were Brian Jackson, Asha Puthli & Dee Dee Bridgewater.
On the decks we loved Rich Medina, Boo Williams and were completely blown away by Danilo Plessow (MCDE).

Great weekend. Missed loads of stuff I wanted to see, but a few moments:
KDJ and Brian Jackson with Louie Vega and co doing We Almost Lost Detroit - pretty wild seeing KDJ as a front man at a festival considering the curtain back in the day.
My 4 year old’s jazz dancing at Dingwalls
Daily dose of the dodgems
Sweaty Saturday night in the Love Dancin tent - Musclecars played one of the weirdest tunes i’ve heard in a dance, before playing a blinder. Cosmo playing a killer version of the Percolator (Rawb Boss version seemingly if anyone has it?)
Asha Pulthi, Ebo Taylor, Ron Trent etc.
No phone signal at all, walkie talkies next year

Social anxiety stopped me going (again!).

Did anyone head over on their tod?
