I saw a post on Instagram the other day quoting Andrew Weatherall about the art of the warm-up set and thought I’d get a thread going of great warm-up sets. At home these types of sets are definitely what I prefer to listen to so I’d love to hear some of your favourites.

This is the first 1 hr 15 mins from Legends, Warrington from possibly 1991 or 92. All sets from Legends used to be recorded and sold on casette as Tape 1 (the first 1.5 hour warm up set), tape 2 and tape 3. Tape 1s we’re always my favourite.

The first part of Harvey´s Live At rumors is a great warm up set IMHO

Dixon and Ame used to do fantastic warm ups at Plastic People for the Warm parties 15 years ago. They would do all night and start ambient and then build it up over a couple of hours then play house.
