Visiting London

Brilliant Corners is just up the road.
That whole stretch from Shoreditch to Stoke Newington and beyond is pretty ace.
Great Vietnamese food on Kingsland Road.
Brilliant Turkish around Dalston and Stoke Newington.
Broadway Market close by. And Brawn.

If you’re staying in Shoreditch and your daughter wants vintage clothes, there’s a Beyond Retro nearby on Cheshire Street.

There’s one in Dalston too.

Two friends are visiting London next Friday for 4 nights, staying in Soho and only plans are a gig on Sunday. Any heads up or tips for things to do…

What sort of thing are they into?

They are going to see a band called Knocked loose on Sunday, arriving early on Friday, open to anything really. both into punk stuff and art but never heard of Carnaby St .

The Yoko Ono exhibition at the Tate is superb if they like art.

Fun party. Was good on Friday. Older crowd and the music is quite chuggy sound but was fun… Good people.

Have ended up in London at very short notice and will be kicking around on Sunday with my oldest daughter. Any recommendations for interesting things to do/see today? Bars, lunch/dinner spots, exhibitions, record shops, etc. Thanks in advance.

Something like Borough Market and Tate Modern would be peak ‘tourist’ for food and art if you don’t mind crowds. Sausage roll from the Ginger Pig and a coffee to start things off, I’d go now tho! Then into Soho for a trip to Phonica and a pint of Guinness at the Toucan.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but I’ve Been meaning to ask the forum about these parties. Any idea where to keep an eye out for upcoming dates? The insta doesn’t seem to publicise dates, and I don’t think they’re on ra.

Thanks all. I’m staying near Borough Market so looks like there for lunch, a car boot in Battersea (daughter’s shout) and possibly a trip to WSA in Harringay. Much appreciated.
