Vinyl weekender bags

How do you do it ? 30 records in a tote stuffed in your carry on ? dedicated bag for records and one for clothes ? Whats your playing a weekend away dj solution. I’ve been stuffing a tote into a rucksack, but it gets a bit fucking heavy especially now that i’ll tend to buy 5-10 records when away to save on all this VAT shipping nonsense. Mainly looking for that perfect clothes and vinyl together solution that can go in a cabin or hold incognito, so it doesn’t scream expensive vinyl inside nick me.

A Filson tote is the perfect size for about 20 records and zips them tight enough to give stability to the whole stack. have been shifting records in it like that as carry on for years.

i had the original version of one of these for a long time - it was sort of ugly but it was built to last.

held about 25-35 records and a laptop and some other simple shit (smaller pouch for pens, chargers, etc.). i loved UDG stuff (with the exception of their trolley carts, in which anything related to the handle/wheels would break quickly and wasn’t user-serviceable).

last time I tried this I got screwed by the weight limit on carry on. Really was tricky, coz I had a gig that night, so had to cough up. Ended up being an expensive gig/weekend. But I usually just go tote in the carry on.

Got an eastpak tranverz (or summat) which has been great in general and I’ve managed to get a load of records in it, clobber depending. Been a while and it’s not perfect (got to be careful not to flex the stack) but I think Ive managed a small record bags worth in it. Might be worth investigating.
