Just received another bill from UPS for the same amount - this would be nearly $70 in customs fees for ordering a CD from PP…really sad times.

Just closed my PayPal account, not giving them cunts anything, scary stuff.
Edit: they sold PayPal to eBay ages ago so no effect and like they’d care, but I just don’t want to be associated with these villains any more (e.g., Musk apparently funded Tommy 'Ronginson’s recent legal fees).

Today is very interesting if you are watching:
California is putting redistricting on the ballot.
New York Mayoral race is truly showing the true colors of the ruling class - including how the democrats wouldn’t get behind a candidate that doesn’t meet their repub-lite agenda.
New Jersey and Virginia could both give the finger squarely to Trump, and then there is Texas. Very, very interesting day.

Biden had the chance to regulate the tech bros and bring them under control, partly on the basis of believing that they would support him and the Democrats in the future Presidential race.
Turns out (surprise,surprise) that they reacted in a way that would serve their own interests and, probably with a element of threats from Trump of how it would play out if they didn’t support him publically and financially, flipped to the Republicans.
For historic parallels, I would recommed a book called Nazi Billionaires by David De Jong. It details how major German corporations and industrialists (including many of today’s household names) fell in behind Hitler and the Nazis in the 1930’s.

watching all the billionaires freak out has been very entertaining. Dimon telling Zohran to speak to the outgoing mayor of Detroit to see how its done is very enlightening as that guy won as a Dem is now an independent and pretty much turned Detroit into a slush fund for the wealthy.
