brilliant, there it is!
That’s it!! thank you so much
Flying High by The Irresistible Force. Been almost 30 years since I first heard it and it’s always eluded me. If only Mixmaster Morris read this forum
Ron Trent - Magic Carnival
Heard this on a Joe Claussell (at least I think it was that) Boiler Room 2019, not sure it was ever released.
Can’t find any other reference to it. About 11.30m
Folk of a nervous EQ disposition probably best not watch.
Ron Trent mentions it on FB periodically - looks like an (as yet) unreleased track that only Joe Claussell has at the moment.
Cheers Vlad, good to know I got the right details at least. Killer track.
Tune that Harvey plays tried Shazam no result. Has the lyric ‘get serious get serious, you know I’m dead serious dead serious, babe your superhuman………’ any ideas?
That sounds like ‘gettin serious’ which is the b side of the Frantique single ‘Strut your funky stuff’.
I think there was an edit by Talking Drums. That’s probably what Harvey plays.
Yep, here
Excellent! Thanks.
any chance of a reup here? thanks!
Heard this housey remix of Grauzone’s “Eisbaer” in someone’s mix recently… have basically poured through every damn Eisbaer remix out there and cannot for the life of me find this one.
clip of it here for reference: Dropbox - eisbaer house remix snippet.wav - Simplify your life
anyone know what remix / edit this is?
You might have already checked this but there was a whole bunch of Eisbaer remixes released in the mid 90’s under the artist name Groovezone. GrooveZone - Eisbaer | Releases, Reviews, Credits | Discogs
The album version is the same length as the 12" I think. So if you are finding the edit expensive, the album is great. Album also has excellent artwork.
The original version doesn’t sound that great. It’s Joe’s EQ adjustment that makes it. Lolz.
Ha, I have the ‘taste’ for it, nothing will deter me from the chase now… actually heard him play it at the Shelter anniversary celebration, still sounded good.
It isn’t in that collection of remixes, sadly. Those are pretty trancey. There seems to be a surplus of pretty mid trance and hard dance remixes of Eisbaer lol.
This version is kinda close but not quite hitting as good as the other housey version I’m gunning for Iglu – Eisbaer (1990, Vinyl) - Discogs
That’s more a remake (and the re-sung vocals are kinda shit).
The other version has the OG vocals over some super driving deep house. Need it!!!
There’s a version on this:
I’ve seen the Luciano one on YouTube… still not it, but thanks for checking
for reference, the clip is here… its very much deep haus vibes, lol - Dropbox - eisbaer house remix snippet.wav - Simplify your life
Evening folks, first post here. Some of you may be familiar with this video/tune as it’s a search that’s been going on for well over 4 years over on the “Track IDs” group on Discogs, with a fair few people involved in the hunt. There’s a lot of info in the thread and it’s a good read.
The tune itself is heard between 10:56 and 13:33 (the link should take you to that time):
The event that the video shows is Dance Energy '89. It’s been established that it was being played live, and the artist was very likely performing under the name “The Nemesis Project” and goes by the name “Matty”. They also played a few other raves around that time, and there’s another video on YouTube of him playing the exact same track at a different party:
Supposedly his manager was a bloke called Darren, but that’s as far as anyone has got. No-one knows this Matty, and no-one knows if the tune in question was ever released.
A number of people associated with the scene at the time have been asked but unfortunately none of them know him. People that have been asked include Evil Eddie Richards, Frankie Bones, Trevor Fung, Simon Lovejoy, Toyin Agbetu, Simon Law, Mark Archer, Judge Jules and DJ Ju.
If anyone happens to know anything about this bloke or that wonderful dreamy track, please let me know!
