Has this been mentioned yet? One of those proto tracks, I think
Great track, he did some lovely stuff.
Love it, great band name too
I really liked that Let the Freak Flag Fly album he made. Maybe not everyone’s mug of pish though
I’ll check that out later. I’ve never knowingly heard anything else he did!
never fails to put a smile on my face
I don’t think I knew that he died in 2015!
composed and recorded on lopez island up here - long before lopez island became impossibly unaffordable. looking for a benefactor to help buy me this - you’d be welcome to visit any time you’d like.
Definitely of the era
I’m not a big Weller fan, this though I might get around to buying one day (I have been saying this since 95 though).

I first heard this track on a comp tittled This Aint Trip Hop, I never bought the come but listned to it on a listening post in Virgin Megastore.
Weatherall playing that at Sabresonic.
(Edit - I thought it was the Brendan lunch one. This didn’t get played there though is great imho )
While I don’t really go in for much of the stuff in this thread, I cherish my white label that has this song on one side and the Krush/Roots song on the other. It’s a pretty perfect record that avoids the problem that many “trip hop”/“downtempo” producers seem to have leaning space on their productions for vocalists.
Still have the 7" the NME gave away of that
I was looking for mine earlier but can’t find it, must have sold it
It has the Lynch Mob mix on it doesn’t it?
