I played this to death - pitched down it becomes a real e-tune - a proper sultry groover.

One of my clubbing regrets is never seeing Tenaglia play at that time. Was pretty obsessed with that US house sound.

I heard him play many times including being one of about 10 on the dancefloor when he was booked to play in Nottingham and they put him on at 10pm. Fools. The last time I heard him play was at Pacha in Ibiza about 10+ years ago and it was pretty shite sadly but during the Tribal period he couldnā€™t put a foot wrong.

Mid to late ā€˜90ā€™s he was on it. Would have loved to have have seen him then.

Another deep dish gem we found tonight

Digweeds brother stayed at my parents house after some hunting and fishing fair years ago near where we live. My father and mates ended up in the pub with him as heā€™s a champion clay pigeon shooter and he missed the ferry back to UK so stayed at our house for the night and was dropped off at Roslare next morningā€¦

That was at Essence wasnā€™t it, Zero G with Allister Whitehead? Used to get rammed in there 96/97. DiY night there was good House up top, Funk in bar, Jungle in engine room.

Some good tunes on this thread. Always thought the sound was a bit stiff compared to contemporary music like Jungle but probably a little incorrect.

Yes it was Essence. There were literally 10 or so people in the club to hear Tenaglia who was at the very top of the game at this point. I couldnā€™t get my head around it but the programming was ridiculous. Similar thing happened when I heard him at Club UK. Had to put up with Boy Friggin George at peak time after Tenaglia had played.

He must have been playing somewhere after, imagine with his style you really need to hear him play for most of the night.
