I got really into these two tracks last year. Neither are on vinyl. Wondering what other tracks people can recommend along the same lines. I’d love a comp release of this stuff.

This reissued just this year by Mono Horizon! Not quite the sound I’m looking for more of, but nice that it’s accessible and still a bop.
The M’Du record was a taxi favourite in Cape Town back in the day. Was also on a TV show called Laduma which was a football show leading up to the PSL game of the week. Have you checked out the Dance City compilations that came out around that time?

Rampant Records was behind them. Essentially a bunch of guys from Jo burg capitalizing on the new(ish) sound coming out around the time. They produced a lot of cassettes for the taxis who would essentially break tunes better than any dj could.
If you’re looking to go down a rabbit hole then check out anything affiliated with OSKIDO, 999 Records, Chicco, etc.
I’m realizing the sound I’m after is somewhat specific. Slower beat, moody af, deep vocals. More of a 90s RnB/hip hop vibe. Found these that fit the bill.
