Another one…
I have a little side hobby collecting remixes / covers of Everybody Loves The Sunshine. Here’s a cool one I just heard on a lovely @ScottProper mix
Jean Claude Gavri’s Bandcamp page is a good source of retouch/edits of well known tunes.
This Bowie/Let’s Dance is a favourite.
Nice mellow version of Good Life from Eugene Tambourine.
Edit: this is actually a cover. You should definitely check the Cover Version Discovery thread too.
I picked up the new Ramp 7” which is a nice version
I love anything Quiet Village. I first discovered them on this forum and immediately ordered their Silent Movie LP on Bandcamp. It also contains some choice samples like the Alan Parsons one on “Pillow Talk”.
Much respect to the TP community for always selecting choice music!
8 min beatless/virtually acapella version of Madonna’s Like A Prayer from Mike Simonetti.
This is really quirky but awesome cover! Thanks for sharing.
I’m really into all of the Isle of Jura stuff. I stumbled upon “Return To The Island” at Sonic Boom in Toronto and was pleasantly surprised that they were carrying it in stock. It will definitely get its share of rotations in the sun this summer.
This edit of Sister Sledge is always a winner at the loved up time of the night.
Not sure if you can still get the WAV from Juno. Hit me up if you are struggling.
Thanks for sending me down the Sleazy Wonder rabbit hole
Awesome stuff here!
I used to have that on my running playlist, so epic!
This shit just blew my mind and transported me to some hazy oasis in 1991…
Tears for Fears coming to Toronto next week and I’m thinking I need to go check them out. Thanks for sharing @Tomi_V
the Black Market Dubs are fucking excellent
Danny Krivit also has a similar one - bit more stripped back and works a bit better for me
MR K EDITS - Like A Prayer Vinyl at Juno Records.
He played it last time I heard him at Spiritland, sounded great as he built the atmosphere.
I think it’s only on the 7” vinyl though. I looked for it on his digital site but couldn’t see it. Do you know if it’s available digitally?
