In Ibiza?

I’m sure there’ll be a fair but knocking about. Someone last year had a nasal spray, like a Vicks Sinex, with the incredible marketing name of ‘Sprayote’!

The chocolate made here is very strong a quarter of an old style Cadbury dairy milk square is enough if you aren’t a smoker but it’s hard to just eat a tiny bit lol.

Was just asking, cos we had some drops in France a few weeks back which my missus was esp impressed with. 2 or 3 on your tongue. Real connection with nature. Just the tonic after a heavy festie

*never done the chocolate though! Intrigued!

Is there a guestie for pikes on Momday? Cdn’t find it. Or just rock up? We were looking at 6-7ish

No, there’s not. I’m guessing because it’s a day party, without a carry on at Freddie’s.

Had fun last week, More a couply thing than a mental trip (as was still getting over covid) and for various reasons, missed out on a few things. A few folk we didn’t get to see sadly.

Pikes - the usual fun & games although the bar took forever and a real shame about the restricted sound from the other side of the pool. But nice to catch up with a few familiar faces. Was Rob J there? Couldn’t find him.

Accommo - We stayed at 2 places, the preferred was this amazing remote guesthouse near Sant Miquel called Can Lara that took ages to find. Man alive, more lovely than anywhere I’ve ever stayed, had pool to ourselves, surrounded by trees and quirky little touches around the garden. Take a special someone in your life there.

Foodwise, Cami Balafia near Sant Llorenc is carnivore heaven, book a week in advance (cash only) - absolutely stunning garden and attentive (but not annoyingly attentive) staff. The steaks and ribs wow.

Paradise Lost - good quirky fun too. Went in the week so a bit quiet. V friendly vibe.

EsXiringuito (Figueretes) was good for a drink - the very underrated Bebe serving up the tunes with occasional live percussion. Slightly unexpected spot for a cool-ish bar but has potential to become a regular with all the bally bods.

Benirras - a couple of muted drummers on the porch, a few people meditating, water absolutely lovely

Mercat Vell (old town) - saw live performance by Querencia Flamenco to mark the 150th anniversary of the market. Very talented guys. Good to see a younger generation honouring traditional music.

Anita’s (Sant Carles) - always great value food/hierbas - enjoy people-watching there. Go at 6pm to get a table and stay for hours.

Bistro Mondo (Sant Joan) - amazing pancake breakfast. very quiet. Well apart from 2 amorous Italian hippies on the next table

Dalias - popped into a thing in the garden called Namaste, which was a lot more banging than expected, the last embers of the old hippy spirit. A lot more cosmopolitan than Pikes, people from literally everywhere. Zoned out of the music but a great vibe socially.

Transport - Moto Luis always reliable. BA flight to Ldn City was excellent. Complementary food & drink and 2 seater rows and no dickheads (for 30€!!)

Not too many downers. Yes, the usual quotient of cringey arseholes. One fat peroxide blonde lush being very rude to the staff at the Cala Llonga chiringuito (we saw the same woman a few days later pulling a fast one in a wheelchair at the airport!) and the first place we stayed at THB Naeco near SA was grim by the pool, Rihanna’s S&M has to be the most unsolicited earworm ever. Elsewhere, could’ve done with a late party but was never going to happen. Cala Nova was pure gunk. But other beaches were decent. Luck of the draw.

My missus enjoyed and it was a nice way to close my 6 month workplace sabbatical. Now back to the grind and what’s left of my redundancy…
