The Health Kick (Inside)

Obviously the wrong stuff. I will say with this new berberine you absolutely should take it with a meal. Without a meal shit gets wild.

It’s ace. I’m a few weeks in on it and, atm, can’t imagine not taking it.

Proper game changer.

Only taken it before or after meals so far.

Whats it like otherwise?

The NMN has kicked in now and I’ve never had so much energy :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Looked into Berberine - issue for me is i’m prescribed Metformin so, don’t think it would be safe.

This could dangerously start becoming the most expensive thread in history. Although Bandcamp musts is far annd away but over time this has legs. Just bought NMN.

There’s an argument there that you could use it as a natural remedy instead of….

And it could be a really dangerous argument.

I’m not sure a music / arts forum is an optimal space to be promoting people stop prescription meds and substitute unregulated supplements in their place.

Does anyone have some tips to ditch the ciggies please?

It’s time, but I’m a bit scared.

I switched to a vape and then eventually stopped that too by just reducing nicotine strength over time.

Honestly I read that Allen Car (spelling?) book and believe it or not it worked x

I used Champix. I wouldn’t recommend, real head fuck

Champix worked for me (twice)

First time I didn’t finish the course got over confident and thought I had it sorted.
Second time, I finished the course and have been smoke free ever since.
No weird dreams or cravings, bit of adjusting in the beginning, then all was good.

I did Champix too. Honestly just the fact that I was sick of it made me stick to it in the end. Read the book twice. And it worked.

My whole thing was if I can get past midday on day one I’ve done it. Or often I quit in the past by “leaving it” in a foreign country. If I can do three hours (a flight or a morning) then I can do a day. X.

I would definitely say try and combine quitting with a change in routine like a holiday or coming back from a holiday or something like that

Prepare well (read & watch stuff about quitting)!

Then choose a moment and reserve 72 hours to go cold turkey on the nicotine. Isolate with no contact or obligations from the outer world, nurture yourself with comfort food, binge stuff you always wanted to watch, read & listen. Work out your emotions by physical activity & cry in a pillow.

Sleep.

Repeat.

After three days your body is nicotine free and you can start slaying the psychological dragon, one day at a time. Always keep in mind that the first cigarette will have you hooked back in no time (“oh, it’s only one” or “just one puff” etc. is lethal)

Good luck!
