Had the day off so squeezed in a visit to the Skate 50 exhibition at the Southbank which has just opened followed by a bit of record shopping and a sneaky couple of pre-train pints. Small exhibition space but really enjoyed it.

Found this video in the Guardian photo piece about Neil MacDonald’s book, Elsewhere. I still vividly remember my first time down in London and going to skate at the South bank Centre, which for 14 year old me, was the equivalent of visiting the Grand Canyon, or Manhatten, places that seemed shock you that they actually exist. Embarcadero in SF was another.
