Small Claims Court

My brother was in a noisy punk/kraut rock-ish Liverpool band called Kling Klang.

They got sent a cease-and-desist letter from Kraftwerk’s lawyers saying they couldn’t use that name.

Anyway, he wrote back saying that basically kling klang was a scouse term meaning “bouncing ball”, total bollocks obviously. He then asked if it was still okay to use the name.

They again wrote back and simply stated “Nein”.

That could be any local - everyone in Cork is tall with high

A few from my recent trip down to Edinburgh… mostly Scottish football faces unknown to anyone outwith that world.

Ian Rankin, most of Deacon Blue (I avoided talking about their music) and nearly Gordon Brown (current events moved quickly).

I know the bloke playing pool and staring directly into the lens behind Barry Can’t Swim who is doing some sort of Boilerhouse type DJ thing at the Mildmay Club in Stoke Newington.

Hang on, they’re playing Snooker - so the Pool/ Can’t Swim gag doesnt work.
