Gazza regularly comes in our restaurant with a bottle of volvic he’s one of the nicest people, always has great stories and never gets at all angry at the queue of people lined up to take selfies while he’s eating!

He signed my world in motion 12 too the last time he came in!

I was on a sales trip in Rome with a colleague in the early 90’s. We got back to the Hotel Jolly after an evening out to hear Beatles tunes being murdered in the bar accompanied by the hotel piano player. There was Gazza and a load of smartly dressed Italian men and women looking slightly bemused. I bought him and his party a round of drinks (expenses) and asked for a photo. “You’re not from the Sun” he asked and I joked I was from the Mirror.
I had the photo blown up into a poster for my girlfriend at the time who was a Spurs fan. I’m sure I lent the original to a mate and never got it back.
Anyway it was me and gazza at the bar with Jimmy 5 Bellies slumped in the background.
We could hear a lot of shenanigans in the corridors of the hotel that night, fire extinguishers being let off etc etc.
I’m guessing he was celebrating signing for Lazio.

Wasn’t that Brian Blessed?

Found this morning in Great Titchfield Street by a friend of mine.

Gary Kemp’s OAP Oyster card.

Not sure how he’ll now make it through the barricades.

Edit: when she walked back down the street later the card was still where she left it. So she took it home. Now stuck to her fridge!

A good friend of my wife’s is in Belfast (the movie), she didn’t even notice it was that quick

My cousin (by marriage, not blood) played the Liberace hologram in Blade Runner 2049 but was almost entirely left on the cutting room floor. Claims to fame don’t get much more tenuous!

This is probably extremely tenuous but my missus childhood friend’s husbands daughter played Vanessa Kirby’s maid in Napoleon. Ridley Scott was so impressed with her that he’s cast her as Denzel Washington’s screen wife in the forthcoming Gladiator sequel. She’s called Riana Duce
