Thought it was Stringfellow at first, until he got closer. He got a bit closer than I’d have liked TBH

I’ll see your Chris Quentin and raise you a Nigel Pivaro.
Late 80’s, after work, walking down Church St in Brighton, a car pulled up and the guy asked for directions to the Theatre Royal. ‘That was Terry Duckworth’ said my colleague.
Hard to be 100% sure but he may have been wearing a thong as well.

Been getting me Nigels and Chris’ mixed up, wasn’t one of them hanging around with the Mondays in the late 80s, early 90s? Terry Duckworth I think…

He smacked a mate of mine over the head with a bottle of Michelob in the Press Club in Manchester some time in the mid 90s

The Press Club, not suprising, all sorts ended up in there.

At one time it was the only place in town you could get a drink after 2am.

For some reason, to get in you either had to work for the MEN or Granada, or be a doctor, a nurse or a copper.

Or you could just bribe the bouncers.

It was pretty lively

Yeah because it was the only place with a late licence in the city centre at that time there was a real mixture of characters in there.

What party was that and when?

Around 2004 I think? Can’t remember the name of the party

There was a whole mid 90s soap stars out in clubs thing that was in Mixmag / Muzic. I remember someone who was in Brookside out a lot with Charlie Chester

Curly Watts was an occasional MC for one of the heavier dub soundsytems iirc.
