Sirens Call present Open Secret with Ruf Dug and James Holroyd Liverpool

Hi Everyone!
Thought this event may be of interest to forum users in the Liverpool and Manchester area.

The Siren’s Call proudly present Open Secret, an intimate cosmic journey with Ruf Dug and James Holroyd on the Sun Palace Sound System.

James Holroyd, cult party starter since 1991 and the original tropical cyberpunk Ruf Dug bring their joint party ‘Open Secret’ to Liverpool just in time for Christmas. After blowing our minds at Giant Steps earlier this year, there is no one we would rather disco down and launch this project with.

From the heady days of the original Back to Basics in Leeds, Jockey Slut and resident of the legendary club night just turned 30, Bugged out! James needs no introduction.
Touring with the Chemical Brothers since 1995, his vinyl only Balearic house releases as Begin have developed a cult, avid following. Strap yourself in and expect the unexpected.

Ruf Dug, the man with his own monthly NTS show, runs the highly collectible Ruf Kutz imprint and co-owns Manchester’s best and weirdest appointment-only record shop, Hi-Tackle, a paradise of vinyl gems and computer games. As always, bringing with him analogue heat, weirdness, expensive records, 50p bangers and a heavy vibe to the party.

From the dirtiest cassette techno through the smoothest street soul to tropical island beats; from sensual sunset ambiences through late night disco peakers to burned out boogie – the pair of them join dots like none other, never once losing the connection between the mind, the body, the soul, and the dance.

Sun Palace Sound System is a fully restored sound system designed by the master creator Richard Long, the only of its kind in Europe. Built together from vintage components sourced from across the globe, original, US-made, RLA cabinets, and hidden away in the basement of the Invisible Wind Factory. It has to be seen and heard to be believed.

We are incredibly privileged to put this on in such an intimate space on a special system with two of our favourite party starters.

When you hear the sirens, answer the call.

I’d be very into that if I didn’t have a family commitment that weekend. Sounds :sunglasses:
