Sarajevo - stuff?

Any tips? Off in a few weeks for a long weekend. General suggestions, and records a bonus obviously.

I was over the last year, it’s an interesting place. There’s not much in the way of nightlife, most bars were on one street.

Definitely visit the medieval bazaar, in the centre of the city. It’s full of wonderful sights, sounds and smells. Make sure you try the national dish, cevapi. I really enjoyed it.

Visit Crvena Jabuka gastro market, so many great places to eat and drink in there.

Go on the ‘Fall of Yugoslavia, Sarajevo War Tour’, which is run by Meet Bosnia Tours. It’s a fascinating guided tour around the city and surrounding area. It’s a must really is you’re visiting Sarajevo, just to appreciate the horrors that went on there.

Also, this is a must too. Visit the abandoned bobsleigh track, but for the 1984 Winter Olympics. You’ll thank me when you get up there.

Let me know if you have any questions. I’ll add to this if I can remember anything else.
