Pie, Mash and Liquor

Our friends have opened a new bar/restaurant in Chuchfield Road, W3 for anyone over in West London. And very nice it is too.

I’ve not eaten here, but a cool name for a restaurant
Stumbled across it walking down a random street in Copenhagen.

I do most of the cooking in our house during the week-any simple recipes (20 min/ 30 mins) you throw together mid week for dinner/ tea that may be a bit off the beaten track?

Be interesting to get some ideas am in a cooking rut

Same, also do all the cooking, helps I love it and am always looking for something new.
This is a current fav. (my pic)

As with all recipes tend to need a few tweaks, I cook it for a good hour and 10, add the beans in for last half an hour. Using beans from a jar makes a massive difference, I use Bellazu ones.
You can just use boneless thighs so you can adapt for numerous people.

Brown onion, olive oil, diced chorizo, cook that down a bit, add harissa paste, good stir, add a tin or two of brown lentils + a tin of tomatoes + a cup of chicken stock + a jar of roasted red peppers. Let it all simmer for half an hour or so. Serve with crusty bread and if you’re feeling bougie some pan seared prawns in garlic and parsley.

Same here, I love cooking, but midweek I hate having to decide what to cook.

This has been a favorite for a while as you can tell by the spattered nature of the recipe card. Willys vinegar is amazing stuff and some sort of live vinegar is essential.

Substitute asparagus with string or broad beans, whatever takes your fancy

Prep the chicken the night before or at the weekend and then it’s low effort On a weeknight

As a vegetarian sometimes it’s nice to do something you don’t eat with a spoon. I get those readymade puff pastry sheets, spread a filling on, roll up and bake. Spinach & feta, peppers & halloumi, whatever you got. Low effort and looks good (and is good).
