Oooh you smell nice!

Aroma Senpai, any reccomends for woody/fresh for summer? Am contemplating getting a bottle of Iso E Super and mixing some into unscented vaseline and just dabbing.

Really love Chanel Allure Edition Blanche EDP for the summer. Fresh, woody and vanilla. It’s sort of unique for a designer and really stands out. Great for summer IMHO

Obsessed with this at the moment. Bought some samples and immediately ordered a bottle as soon as I smelt it. Incredible stuff. Peachy citrus summer gorgeousness from Lorenzo Pazzaglia

Need to try it. Summer Hammer is a bit of a banger too.

Longtime reader, First time poster. My Questions are olfactory related so I rightfully assume i may Glean some good quality answers and jumping off points from ere.

I was travelling home on Sunday and listening to bookclub ont’ bbc and Joanne Harris was talking about her writing process and specifically her use of scent “in fact, to get into the zone” a trick she learned from stanislavsky’s book “An Actor Prepares”. “a lot of actors use scents to get into character, it actually works just as well for a writer for when your trying to write a character and so the scent that i used for my new book, Vianne, was the same scent that i used when i was writing chocolat because i wanted it to have a similar feel.”

This Got me really excited and peaked my curiosity. Ive heard people talk of using drink and drugs and meditation and experience, place, story telling to create interesting musical work but never scent to influence a similar feel or consistency.

I realise this is quite niche but has anyone ever read of anyone making tunes throughout time using scent or anything mad for that matter to influence the process ?

any books, articles interviews or essays that inspire me the way that this passage did in my Lack of sound deadoning hatchback on the busy Sunday motorway would be much appreciated.

Ps: is that the real moodymann? ha

I normally wear this one - amber- for a light smell… can I ask the experts for three or four to try that might be a similar thing?

Santal 33
Intrigued after @Casual said AOC wears it, seems to divide the room, anyone wear it? Hoping it’s not like Patchouli which is my Corriander and the reason I couldn’t be a Hippy.

I feel like Santal 33 will always have a moment because it’s so distinctive. Another 13 is the one if you’re going after Le Labo though.

I like Santal 33 because my wife wore it when we started dating so nostalgia and all that.

Will have to have a sniff next time I’m up in civilisation, although just seen they are owned by bleddy Estée Lauder, groan.

It’s a nice fragrance. It’s Sandalwood heavy as you’d expect. Kinda posh hamster cage to me.

Bergamote 22 is my favourite from the line.

Another 13 is a beaut. Magazine pages or freshly opened vinyl. Smells great wafting in the air.

Yeah, thankfully afaik the formulations and strength haven’t suffered.
