You couldn’t make this up…lol
You know you want to sniff it!!
Does it smell Grimy?
(j/k, I actually want that. Zernell is dope)
Techno is quite fruity and Hip Hop has this dusty chocolatey vibe going on. Both a bit darker than Disco. Hard to imagine them as grimy though. I’m not overly familiar with his music. Will def investigate now.
They’re all solid fragrances.
Are these just in the US or are there UK sellers?
I just started wearing some Jo Malone colognes and fragrances - Scarlett Poppy and Sea Daffodil are the two that I like at the moment.
Still can’t believe this thread has 407 comments…
I bought it directly from Zernell. Got some samples from a previous LuckyScent order.
Couldn’t find any UK sellers.
Not tried them. Any good?
I love Oud & Bergamot and Pomegranate Noir.
Some pretty fragrant music lovers out there.
I haven’t tried those. Oud never smells good on me for some reason. I always smell like I’ve been on a bender.
Ha! Know what you mean. Some ouds I can’t get on with.
The oud in this one is dialled right down, but it’s still there.
Lovely smell. Fresh and citrusy.
Boys in the oud.
@Moodynann :spring springs early here - what bottles-on-a-budget do you recommend for the new season?
What’s your budget and preferred type of fragrance? (Fresh, citrusy, spicy, aromatic, fruity etc).
Certainly sub $100 USD, fresh, citrusy, aromatic. Anything that pairs well with a beach, or gives that primavera feeling. Hope that’s not too broad.
OK. Here’s a few off the top of my head. Based on your budget the list is likely to be more designer than niche, but hopefully it gives you a flavour. Let me know if you think I’m in the right area and I’ll try and recommend some more. Definitely sample them too before you buy.
The new Hermes H24 Herbes Vives is a nice herbal cool aromatic fragrance. Citrus up top, pear in the mid with a herbal base. Works well spring or summer. Terre D’Hermes Eau Givree is worth checking too. Sharp but cooling grapefruit and woods.
Kenzo Pour Homme Marine - Beachy, summery fragrance with sea notes, ylang ylang and sandalwood. Really nice fresh and floral. Suntan lotion vibes. Kenzo Pour Homme EDP is REALLY nice too. Sea notes, leather, and patchouli. More for spring or summer evenings.
Alexandria Black Panther - It’s a dupe / clone of Bvlgari Tygar, but it’s pretty much spot on in terms of smell. Grapefruit, ambroxan, and woods. Perfect for summer. Another clone by DUA Fragrances Vert Gentilhomme Instinct. Insanely good ‘mash up’ of Creed’s Green Irish Tweed and another discontinued Creed fragrance Green Valley. It’s got spring written all over it.
If you want straight up classic citrus aromatic, then I’d investigate Dior Eau Sauvage EDT or Armani Eau Pour Homme or Chanel Pour Monsieur or Acqua Di Parma Colonia Essenza. There’s a reason why all of these are still around. They smell great and they’re uber classy. The Armani is probably my favourite.
Essential Parfums is a niche house that makes some great affordable fragrances within your budget. My two favourites being: Bois Imperial - Modern, green, fresh, woody, and Nice Bergamote - Bergamot & Jasmine. Both perfect for spring / summer. Mon Vetiver is worth trying too.
Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt Quite beachy, but more of a walk on the beach at winter. Driftwoody, salty, herbal thing. Still bangs in the summer though.
One that’s ridiculously cheap and still smells great is Nautica Voyage - Aquatic green appley fragrance.
One of my favourite summer frags ever is Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Italian Love. Grapefruit, bergamot, airy ozonic notes, and musk. Summer in a bottle.
Hope this helps.
@RichHall might have some great picks too.
Scratch and sniff name tags at the TP meet up…
You’d pay $100 for this info alone.
That sounds right up my straße! Great knowledge as usual.
