Om is a new venue from the Brilliant Corners / Giant Steps crew in Kingsland Road. It’s where that studio 512 or whatever was next to Oxfam.
It could be the closest thing we’ve had to Plastic People for years…
The DJ controls the lighting and can plunge the room into darkness. The mixers came from Louie Vega. The room is compact. Listings aren’t announced. The sound was spot on… All the learns from Brilliant Corners and Giant Steps are there to see.

Entrance is through the bar area which is another room. Sound sounded pretty, pretty good. Custom speakers.

I was there when Cedric played last… it’s really good, music was super deep, proper club. Get yourselves down there!
People who have been playing there seem pretty up our alley. Can’t wait to visit 
good dancefloor and sound! no proper smoking area though (just a little thing on the street next to bouncers), and there was a security guy standing and staring at the dancefloor all night, which was offputting.
Sounds like they’re pretty om top.

Played at Om last weekend as part of the Crying Outcast night. They’ve really nailed it now - a little brighter and more dynamic lighting, disco ball and reinforced sound. Busy from about 11 to the close with a great crowd there to dance. Definitely one of London’s best club
spaces.
