Noughties Gold

Inspired by Balearic Mike’s recent FB posting of Block 16’s Electrokution, what are your noughties gems?

B16 DW remix

And here’s a belter from me on Brownswood

Plus the killer Jazzanova remix

*Edited as a track I posted was '96. Thanks J

Joy O played this on his recent MAH mini-set, and I was in heaven.
Classic early naughties beauty

Actually, Test Don’t Test is their 2nd album. Their first one came out on Mo’Wax one second before Trip Hop became a dirty word, and it’s a beautiful album

Aha thanks for the wee correction there, FF

Tony Allen remixed by Moritz Von Oswald

Lindstrom - Another Station

Chicken Lips - He Not In, the sound of the bassline on fabric’s soundsystem will always stay with me! Excuse the saucy vid pic.

Sebastian Tellier - La Ritournelle (Tony Allen on the drums)

Troubleman - Strike hard
A bit of a secret weapon for me, no idea why it’s not more popular. Mark Pritchard doing afrobeat.

Metro Area - Miura, rinsed this when it came out along with most of their other stuff.

Three belters there, Joe! I’d only heard first. The other two are pure heat so thank you :pray:t4:

Is the Carl Craig Incognito remix not 90s? Or is my mind playing tricks on me

Just checked and you’re right. For some reason I always thought it was 2001. Does that render this thread obsolete due to this micro-howler?

Have amended my posted and acknowledged the rogue '96er

I think we can overlook the micro howler due to the quality of the tune!

There are so so many……2000s were DFA, Metro Area, Lindstrom, Todd Terje, GAMM, Supersound, many, many edits. This is the sound of shopping in Disque in Islington for me.

Things that spring to mind immediately:

And the Juan McLean on this. Give Me Every Little Thing.
