I discovered Antony Szmirek yesterday after he caught my ear briefly on 6Music. I was interested enough to go digging and listened to his album twice. I really shouldnt like it, his whole image and package is not designed for old men like me but the music is really quite fun and his lyrics / poems hold a certain interesting social commentary. To say he’s Manchester answer to The Streets is a bit reductive but the comparisons are obvious
