Don’t know if it’s correct or not, but I have heard that it puts a strain on the old CPU.

Report back if you have any issues.

My Genelec 8020c are getting a bit long in the tooth and I’m after something else very flat for mixing.

I’m in a small room so 7" woofers are a bit too much so I’m looking at 5" (think my Genelec are 4").

I know it can be super personal, but before I pull the trigger on some Focal Shape 50’s, is there anything else I should consider?

I had Focals. Always wished I’d gone for the Adams equivalent after hearing those… Worth an A/B test somewhere if you can find anywhere…

Adam audio… yeah. Highly rated overall. I’d love some Dynaudio Lyd48’s or Focal Trio 6’s but can’t justify/afford them

I love my Neumann KH120s.
Worth a listen if you can audition somewhere.

OK. I’ve heard good things!?

My Adam Audio set up is the best thing I’ve bought. Love 'em!

What Adam’s do you have?

T7V (pair) and T10S

How’s the sub working out with those monitors?

Sounds :ok_hand:

Very happy with it.

I did consider getting the Genelec 7050 sub for my monitors, that’s just shy of £900.

You can get the Adam T5V and T10S sub for £640!!

Sigh

That’s some serious patch cable business going on.

We’re getting better at setting up and not spending the next twenty minutes trying to find out why something isn’t syncing :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Anyone running Logic on an base 8gb ram M2 Mac Mini?

My ageing 2012 iMac with 32gb ram is unable to load any new software as it isn’t supported with such an ‘old’ OS. Want to use Overbridge on my Digitakt II but can’t, plus a host of other stuff.
I’m only ever using max 8 audio tracks and never had an issue with last supported version of Logic.
My only worry is the newer version of Logic will struggle with 8GB, I’d get another 8GB but for £200 seems tad expensive. :man_shrugging:t2:

Check out Open Core Legacy Patcher. Allows you to run Big Sur or Monteray on ancient Macs!

Aside from that I’m running Ableton Live 12.1 on a Mac Mini M1 (2020) with 8Gb RAM. I’ve got Logic installed although I don’t really use it much anymore since I switched to UA Luna for running stems through tasty plugins and had no real issues with either app on it
