So, Bella Sonus were essentially a Spanish-tinged Enigma. They produced a single record and vanished, it’s a great record, just wish they had done more with the project. Maybe they will one day.

i kind of remember this album being sort of enigma-derivative (which is also to say that i didn’t like it, because i didn’t really like enigma at the time).
i think their first album is a stone-cold nettwerk industrio-pop classic. then other albums came out.

As Enigma as it gets without it being Enigma 
Enigma was basically Michael Cretu co-opting the Soul II Soul shuffle for a European market or sleazy Hollywood films, adding a few novelty elements and then unexpectedly hitting gold as it chimed with the growing mainstream appetite for chillout music. He got pretty rich on the back of that, bought a villa in Ibiza without planning permission, and pissed a lot of people off, before it got knocked down.
