Modded or mid-price rotary mixers

I ordered them both at the same time, they took 5 days. I was quite freaked out.

Found a place that do side cheeks, full body, faceplates & inclined desks

These look pretty good and I reckon the cost is very reasonable. The face plates look good value too compared with what i paid for the Xone 23 conversion faceplate. Looks to be around half the price.

Would like it if they did them with no logos at all, but they do look decent.

I know what you mean. Looks like maybe a brand (heat stamp) or a screen print. Either way it’d be possible to sand that off and refinish with a bit of oil. Just a thought.:+1:

This is true. Looks good quality

This might have solved all my problems as a) I need a new mixer b) I am a massive cheapskate and 3) I have a really small shelf space to play with

Love mine so far. Especially impressed with the sound quality for such a cheap mixer

Enjoy! Before you know it you’ll be ordering some walnut side cheeks

I already have those.

Oh, you mean for the mixer?

I just turned the plates around, no more ugly logo

Ok, I have had my mixer for a while now and used it a fair amount. I have come to the conclusion that I hate them. All that knob turning. I can very plainly see why mixers progressed to slider controls. I’m sorry to say that for me, apart from the way they look, I think it’s all a bit silly. The “sound” argument was always BS as far as I was concerned but wanted to see what it was all about. I gave it a go, but not for me at all.

It is a very different way of DJing. I much prefer it tbh. I find myself using my headphones far less and mixing using the monitors. If you’re not a fan of lengthy, drawn out mixes though, and prefer a quicker ‘transition’ then yeah, they won’t be for you

I’m afraid that for me I’m going to have to relegate it to the spare room with the fixed wheel bike and the casette’s.

And I beg to differ on the ‘sound’, but you need to drop a bit of dough for it to make a difference.

New rotary mixer from Ecler now available to pre-order.
Does €649 count as mid-price?
If you’re in the EU that’s a fair bit cheaper than a MasterSounds Radius 2.

Looks nice, i could never bring myself to sell my Ecler scratch mixer cos it just sounded so nice and the eqs were so good. I’m maybe in the minority in that i still want a cross fader on my mixers though…

Yep, faders

Have you ever used a high end rotary mixer in a club with a nice sound system? (asking for a friend)
