It’s around midnight at Paloma in Berlin and Gallo is warming up the crowd at the start of the Buena Onda Balearic Beats night. He’s keeping it slow and chuggy for as long as possible, aware that the night is long and the beats will inevitably get harder later on. So close your eyes and spend an hour on the dance floor.

I was there and I can say that it was a crazy experience! Can’t wait to listen to it carefully.
The guy was supposed to play from 3 to 6. He ended up playing until 12. No chance for Castro and Nemo to take over. Never seen something like that…

I periodically come back to this mix. I’m a big Hivern Discs fanboy and own a few of these releases on wax. But even knowing them, and knowing what to expect, it’s still so surprising and interesting every time. Such a lovely mix.
